In Tune have a creative approach to teaching music. They understand that everyone is different when it comes to learning, so every lesson is tailored to fit the student’s needs. With a methodology based on Kodaly, they combine performance and theory into all lessons to give a rounded music education. A fun and enjoyable atmosphere motivates and encourages the students with their progress.
To date my involvement with In Tune has seen the creation of a visual identity and its implementation across print and digital media including posters, signage, a website and promotional ephemera. The identity uses simple colours, shapes and compositions which relate to the teaching methods used in the school based on play and symbolism.
There is much for graphic design to learn from music education – concepts are gradually associated with sounds, movements, colours and symbols, allowing the student to develop a deep and multifaceted understanding of the language.
